Thats me AliOgg. I went to church (or Sunday School if you like) until I was about 10, but then stopped. Read the whole Bible a couple of times during my teens but drifted away from God at times until finding Him for good a few years ago.
I've been thinking for a while about going to church again but I'm not sure at the moment if it's really for me. I study the Bible every day and do my best to live by it and thats what I see being a Christian as. I have nearly everything I need at home over the Internet, the only thing I don't have is fellowhip with other Christians.
Thank you my friend, I too went to church and sunday school as a child and have an old memory of, at some point, knowing the Lord Jesus but somehow the world and its doubts affected me and caused me to wander far from truth, strangely I thought I was searching for truth when I was only searching for the excuses of men and in my travels I learned little of truth but much of the foolishness of men and the ways of the world, sadly I wandered lost for many years. 2/3 years ago the Lord called my name and I heard him and acknowledged and prayed to him to show me the truth of the way, he is still showing me the way and the truth and the light, even though I do not always manage to listen wisely I know that he is patient and compassionate with me for he would have me win the race and if he would have me win then there I will place my trust.
I myself do not go to church at this time although my hope is that this state of affairs will not last for long and although men may charge me with being double minded for what I say next, I care little what man says, my trust is in the Lord.
You tell me that you have been thinking for a while about going to church again but your not sure at the moment if it's really for you, I suggest that if you have been thinking about it it is because the Lord has put it in your heart to go, so I would say go.
Men in churches make mistakes, do not judge them too harshly for they must answer to the Lord as must we, and although fellowship is very important it is not all, there are many reasons that we should go to church if we are able, not only for what we gain but more importantly for what we can give and with the help of the Lord this may be much.
And God Bless All His Peoples.
