We all can bring someone to Jesus if we start believing in ourselves and in the power of God.All God has asked us to do is plant and water the seed [God's Word], and He will make them grow. We are to tell others about the salvation that is found in Jesus.
I believe that most people don't evangelize because they feel inadequate to do the job.
Moses, one of the greatest leaders the world has ever known was a man who at first felt inadequate to do the job. God chose Moses to deliver the Israelites from slavery. But Moses felt that he could not do the job, so he gave God several excuses why he shouldn't go.
" Who am I, that I should go?"
We question our abilities many times as well. We say," I can't share the gospel with others because I am not smart enought. I don't know enough about the Bible. In response to our doubts God says that He will be with you.
Next," What if they do not believe me or read what I have to say?
There are many people who reject the teachings of the Bible, but they are not rejecting us, they are rejecting God. As we bring forth God's Word we cannot worry about rejection.
What kind of excuses do you offer God for not evangelizing to others?
I am too tired.
I don't have time.
I work too much.
Matthew 10:32 - " Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven."
Brethren, there are many people around us who are lost. God has commissioned every one of us to tell others about Jesus. We must stop using excuses and rely upon God and bring His people out of the slavery of sin. We can do it if we just start believing in ourselves an the power of God.
This I believe, you and I can make a difference in the Kingdom of God ....one person at a time.
An Illustration
An old man walking the beach one morning, noticed a young man walking ahead of him picking up starfish and flinging them into the sea. Catching up with the youth, he asked what he was doing. The young man said that the starfish would die if they were left on the beach until the morning sun.
But the old man said," the beach goes on for miles, and there must be millions of starfish." How can your effort make a difference?
The young man looked at the starfish in his hand and threw it to safety in the waves.
" It makes a difference to this one," He said.
Again, lets make a difference in the Kingdom of God ----- one person at a time.
