I played Bioshock when I was 17, as an example. Unreal Gold, also rated 18+, I played online then. Bioshock doesn't have XBox Live capabilities.

Anyway.........I'm not a psychotic killer nor chased by creeps. I wouldn't recommend games that you have to register to play, if you have to lie about your age.

I've been playing M rated games since I was three. My parents watched me play them and found no problem with them. I also knew that they weren't real, I'd never try to simulate what I saw in a game, and I was a very well behaved child. So it REALLY depends on the kid. I have yet to shoot up a school.

I played Leisure Suit Larry when I was in elementary school. It probably turned me into a degenerate. :)
Well, I beg to differ, seeing your sig and avatar.....:)

Why would lying about one's age make a game any worse? Game companies just use that one little piece of information to prevent parents and politicians from complaining. The game companies can always fall back on the age to show that they tried to prevent underaged players from playing inappropriate games.

(Also please note that i was not actually born on 2nd February 1932 as i stated on my profile.)

Plus almost any online game should be rated m or above. Even games as innocent as club penguin can easily be used to convey inappropriate messages to young players, especially when the game has a chat filter as broken as club penguin's.

Do you know if COD4 can be played with a under 18 account?

Quiet. You're ruining the funny.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure my first M game was Carmageddon 2, and that was in 7th grade.

Let's see - first M game I played was Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear : Black Thorn, at 13. ^_^ I haven't turned violent, and I don't think they have too much of an effect, but it really depends on how mature they are, and what the game is rated M for.

I'm actually kind of impressed you could answer any of the questions. I remember them being pretty difficult. :p

:p

I remember playing Duke Nukem when I was about 11, getting back to the topic. It was boring.

I played LSL when I was like 8, the questions were relatively easy for me. I have been playing M rated games before there was an ESRB. I think the first M rated game was Mortal Kombat on the Genesis. not completely sure on that though.

Hours... and hours... and hours of trial and error. We made notes. If it weren't for the questions being multiple choice, we wouldn't never have played it.
