i;ve never really paid attention to any other...loving nirvana byt he way. Classics like queen and the beatles are always good. Slipknot are getting abit to widely publisised for me, i still like their stuff though. System of a down, im liking their political stuff..it bores me after awhile though.

Beatles -10/10 -Not over-rated at all. They really are that good.

Black Flag -5/10 -Meh.

Black Sabbath -8/10 w/Ozzy; 8.5/10 w.o./Ozzy -Ozzy's voice was usually too whiny. Dio made Sabbath what it should've been all along.

Blue Oyster Cult -7/10 -Good early metal (yes, metal).

BodyCount -Who?

Candiria -Who?

Dio -8.5/10 -Simply awesome, but too repetative sometimes.

Dragonforce -Who?

Drane -Who?

Immoratal Technique -Who?

Iron Butterfly -5/10 -Meh, they're okay in a mix. They would've gotten a 3/10, but they wrote In-A-Gatta-Da-Vida. Plus 2 for that gem.

Iron Maiden -10/10 -Seriously, this band is tight. It doesn't even matter who's singing, they're so good.

In Flames -6/10 -minus one for selling out. They were good in concert a few years ago though.

Jimi Hendrix -10/10 -oh yes.

Joy Division -7/10-good background music for certain situations which can't be mentioned here.

KISS -7.5/10 -very good hard rock, but nothing that stands out.

Led Zeppelin -10/10 -the gods of rock.

Loudness -Who?

Lynard Skynard -5/10 -minus 2 for dissing Neil Young

Megadeth -10/10 -WOW! Pure euphoria!

Metal Safari -Who?

Minor Threat -Who?

Misfits -8/10-once you get into them, you're hooked.

Motley Crue -8/10 -some of the best rock to make it out of the 80s.

Mudvayne -Who?

Nirvana -3/10 -they are quite possibly the most over-rated band ever.

Overkill -7/10 -good, but doesn't stand out.

Ozzy -9/10 -from Blizzard of Ozz to No More Tears; -7/10 from Ozzmosis on. He should've retired after the Live and Loud tour.

Queen -10/10 -simply spectacular

Ragtime/Vaudeville (the genres) -Who?

Ramones -7.5/10 -very good, but nothing extremely great to give them a higher score.

Razor's Edge -Who?

Slipknot -4/10 -they're over-rated.

System of A Down -8/10 -they're under-rated

The Control -Who?

Testament -6.5/10 -good, but they sound like every other hard rock/metal band from their era.

Tool -6.5/10 -They're good, but I really don't get why some people love them so much.

Van Halen -10/10 w/David Lee Roth; 7/10 w/Sammy; 5/10 w/Gary. Any song with Eddie on guitar gets at least a 5.

X-Japan -8/10 -they remind me of Priest for some reason.



Dude, it sounds like you like the heavy stuff. You really need to get into Motorhead, Pantera and Judas Priest. You'll like them (and a ton of other bands too!).

[The Theory]

Barbershop (the genre)... cool when done properly.

Beatles... The more I listen to them the more they awe me at how ahead of the times they were.

Jimi Hendrix... Really good guitar player who tends to be overhyped a tad. But still quite nice.

Led Zepplin... Who can't like Zepplin??

Lynard Skynard... Sweet Home Alabama is overplayed... but overall their stuff is solid.

Megadeth... I've just picked up three Megadeth albums from Goodwill this week and I rather enjoy them.

Nirvana... Nevermind is a fairly boring album. I think I'm just past the age where grunge is at all appealing... and when I was at that age I didn't listen to any. So that boat just sort of passed me by...

Ozzy... I got an Ozzy album, too, from the same Goodwill excursion and I like it.

Queen... They can write one helluva an arena rock song, can't they?

Ragtime/Vaudeville (the genres)... AWESOME.

Ramones... I personally don't own any albums, but they are quite classic for those into punk rock.

Slipknot... (a guilty pleasure)
System of A Down... (a pleasure, not guilty at all because they frickin' rock)

Tool... I have Laterwhatever and it's a solid enough album. Can't say anything bad about it, anyway.
