rash not on behind

my son has a rash but its not on his behind, its in the crease of his leg in front where the diaper hits. I think its b/c i was stil putting him in newborn when he is ready for size 1 diapers. OOPS!
What can i put on it to help it go away? Just regular diaper rash ointment?

Diaper rash ointment should do the trick.

If he has thrush it could be a yeast rash. My kids got those with thrush. Over the counter yeast medication (like lotramin) takes care of it, though.

It's probably just a little irritated from the snug fit of the diaper...when he has the diaper on, diaper rash ointment would help, but if you can leave him out of his diaper for awhile for it to air out a little bit each day, that would help, too.

The other thing is to make sure you dry that area well after bathing, cause that can cause a rash too if it's left wet. It's really hard to get into all the crevices though!

Fresh air cleared up my DDs rashs in a day. I just found something to do in the kitchen so I could clean up.
