I about cried. He lived one day. Did anyone see the picture of Cy? (Cyborg) He was born in Oregon state here in the states. Too sad to post his picture.

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I had a kitten like that. He came with Sunshine (points to avi ^^). I named him Oliver. He was malnourished, teeny-tiny, and covered with fleas. Somewhere he had got green paint on himself. He only lived a day.

really you guys? you've had cats born with one eye????? I thought they said it was an oddity. I've never seen anything like that. 
I really felt sick because this little kitten had no nose. no way to breathe if nursing.

I believe the news said Cy had Holoprosencephaly, which is indeed very rare, and if I'm not mistaken, this is always fatal (don't quote me on that). The deformation of one eye simply not forming at all/properly on an otherwise normal, healthy kitten is actually becoming frighteningly frequent.

I didn't find him cute, but I don't think a cat without a nose and with one eye could be healthy- surely there would have been complications. That's what I meant about it being merciful that he died. He probably would have lived a life full of sickness and possibly pain.
