  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Here's a Question for everyone:

Can a person be married to a spouse of ethnicity but still
be prejudiced towards that particular race?

Sure, why not?

Jefferson owned slaves, but hat a long term relationship with Sally Hemings.

Sure. Several thoughts come to mind.

They could consider the spouse the one exception.
They could think poorly of themselves and think an inferior spouse is the best they can get
They could consider a spouse property and want to treat the spouse of an inferior race very badly

And last but not least, because the father of the inferior spouse caught them in bed and owns a shotgun.

Inferior above relates only to the attitude of the person, not the truth.

Definitely, YES!

A person can be prejudice towards members of other races and their own race.

A spouse who is not Caucasian.

Do you think a non Caucasian could marry a Caucasian and still be prejudice against Caucasians? Could Michelle Obama be prejudice against Caucasians even though she married one?

I was just wondering because I know someone who
is British and married a Mexican. So whenever she mentions
her daughter she makes fun of her by calling her a "bean" and says it with a grimace on her face as though children who come from mixed
marriages are not as valuable as children who have
parents of the same ethnic group even though it is
her own child.

Michelle probably has about as much Caucasian in her as her husband has. Most people labled "black" in the USA are not fully black.

Can a person be married to a spouse of ethnicity

That's a funny term. Don't we all have an ethnicity?

but still be prejudiced towards that particular race?

I don't see why not. All it would mean is that one had low standards.
