Quoting and punctuation of scripture?

I am having a gift personalized with the following scripture. Is it properly punctuated?



"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations..." Mt 28:19-20

It is from a NIV bible, should I include NIV?

its usually up to the person quoting the Scripture as to if they use it or not.

I usually do not.

Yes, it is properly punctuated - the statement refers to one action (go and make disciples) not two (ie going, and making disciples), so there is not meant to be a comma.

I would be inclined not to include the words "NIV".

The only porblem is that the words you have are only from verse 19, so you really shouldn't have "19-20". (The command does indeed extend into verse 20, but it also extends back into verse 18...)
