This isnt for anything in particular. But I was just wondering... how do you know when God wants you to wait and when to act? When you think he might be telling you something, how do you know that it's him, and not you trying to justify it in your mind?

lol I just answered a question just like this one on the same page.
"When you think he might be telling you something, how do you know that it's him, and not you trying to justify it in your mind?"

By studying the Word. God has addressed EVERYTHING in there. If only people would spend more time reading it and studying it than pondering. God is very specific...everything in your life is addressed in it...sometimes you read it and you're like "wow...God you know me so well" =]

I find that there are times when God doesn't make things clear, because He wants us to choose. Or to learn something through the choice.

The desires of our hearts might line up with His will, or how He created us -- but He does not usually mandate the desires of our hearts, when it comes to career, friends, or partners.

The more we read scriptures and stay in communication with Him, the more easily we know His will. But don't worry if you don't hear everything clearly.

God speaks clearly when He has a firm message. Like "Run! The building is burning!" Or "Go set my people free." Things we wouldn't normally do. You will hear some clear communication, don't worry.

I think that you might be concerning yourself more with your ability to follow God, then what truly matters, which is Gods ability to lead you.

Just focus on God. Seek Him and Seek his will. The rest will come.
