1. Why do you vote democrat? Sometimes the democrat happens to be the better candidate.

2. What do you dislike about republican? I don't, I vote republican as well.

3. Is there anything you dislike about democrat? Lots just like there is lots I dislike about the republican party. I tend to vote the person and platform and ignore the party lines. My son says I should see if those I voting for are a second party lines and vote those lines. It strengthens those lesser known party in hopes of reducing the influence of the two party system.

Its a great idea the only problem is I forget to when I out voting. Maybe in two years I remember.

1. Why do you vote democrat?

2. What do you dislike about republican?

3. Is there anything you dislike about democrat?

1. Because they check off most of my political checkboxes.

2. While they check off some of my political checkboxes, Democrats check off more. I am more centrist than anything, but slightly leaning left, although my girlfriend says I am more right than left, she is more left-leaning than I am. I have voted Republican before, such as when I voted for Trump in 2016. I did not vote for him in 2020 though and voted for Biden.

3. Not liking the push for a $15.00 minimum wage. I get why they are doing it, but it's just going to drive the cost-of-living up to where it's at now, so it doesn't solve anything. If they mitigate the cost-of-living somehow, it can work.

1. The Democrats more often agree with me on policy areas that are important to me, such as environmental issues and civil rights issues.

2. At the moment, the Republican party has taken a bizarre turn into anti-civil-rights and anti-science areas, but I think that's just a temporary aberration.

At the state level, the Republican party in my state wants to cut taxes to a point that I'm concerned the state government won't be able to provide appropriate public services.

Back in the Cold War days, many (not all) Republicans were more hawkish in foreign policy than I was comfortable with. I'll observe that Sen. Mark Hatfield (R-Oregon) was a notable exception.

3. My quarrels tend to be with individual Democrats rather than with the national party platform. In my area, there's a group of very powerful Democrats -- some elected, some unelected -- who wield a great deal of power, and it's something I'm keeping an eye on. And there have certainly been Democratic office-holders who said or did stupid things, or didn't keep their campaign promises.

1. Speaking as a lifelong Republican, I voted Democratic for the first time ever in the 2020 election because I adamantly oppose Trump and I wanted to see him removed from office. President Biden is the first Democrat I've ever voted for in an election since I registered to vote as a Republican in 1992.

2. First, I dislike the Republican leaders who sold out to Trump and who later supported his traitorous efforts to overturn the election in his favor. I would like to see them suffer some severe consequences for their treachery, such as being forced to resign or be voted out of office, at the very least.

3. I dislike the Democratic political platform of abortion on demand.
