  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A lemming is a rodent which lives in Northern Europe. Looks similar to a mouse - brown in summer, white in winter.

That's a zoologist's perspective - not sure what they have to do with liberals...

Very cute, tho!

Oh, I thought It was a broken heart all this time, guess cause, when I read it it was in that context.

I will be so <3 when you leave,

So I just assumed brokenhearted.

I know that <3 is supposed to make a heart.
Not a broken heart though.

I would have to hear the word lemming in the context it was
written to determine what the poster may have been relaying.

With the two definitions we have above, I could imagine it might be one
of those, but I couldn't give you a definitive opinion unless I saw it in the
context it was written in.

The funny things about lemmings is that they run together away from danger but they will run literally right off the a cliff and the other lemmings will just jump too plunging to their deaths.

Like blind leading the blind as Jesus said

:Science Teacher Hat on:

That's actually a widely believed myth, but it isn't true!
When their population expands beyond what the habitat can support, groups leaave to found new colonies elsewhere.
They don't jump off cliffs, except in cartoons!
Most animals have a very strong instinct for self preservation!

While many people believe that lemmings commit mass suicide when they migrate, this is not the case. Driven by strong biological urges, they will migrate in large groups when population density becomes too great. Lemmings can and do swim and may choose to cross a body of water in search of a new habitat[5]. On occasion, and particularly in the case of the Norway lemmings in Scandinavia, large migrating groups will reach a cliff overlooking the ocean. They will stop until the urge to press on causes them to jump off the cliff and start swimming, sometimes to exhaustion and death. Lemmings are also often pushed into the sea as more and more lemmings arrive at the shore. [6]

I lust looked for the lemming, the above is from Wikipedia.

As far as the rules in your OP, if I read it correctly you asked about that to? I am really sorry but I am unsure:scratch:
