hm... there are quite a few... but I'd bring up one which talks about the marriage as a covenant. Like in the covenants in the Bible you can see the blood appearing as a seal, but in the marriage where? On the first night when you're with your husand, so that is why it is so important to keep your virginity till marriage. This really shocked me, cause I've never thought about it.

I liked this sermon question. So how about other memorable sermons?

I agree wholeheartedly with what you said, that would have been a great sermon to hear.

Hrm, well I've heard a lot of great sermons (and a lot of not-so-great sermons) but I often don't remember any particular ones. One particular one I do remember was one given by Mr. Roy Savage at a Student Convention, in 2001. I was very much a committed Christian and believed in God and Jesus, knew that the Bible was absolute truth, etc.; but what that meant to my day to day living was still working itself out. I had been challenged deeply about my commitment and what that meant for the first time in my life, thanks to a relationship I had with a girl who was a non-Christian. Thankfully, I managed to pass the tests unscathed but did question what being a Christian meant seriously for the first time.

His theme has become quite famous - it was "24/7" - and the slogan "1L2474C" has become very well known among the students of A.C.E. (the school curriculum used in schools and by homeschoolers for which these student conventions are run). 1L2474C means "One Life, Twenty-Four hours a day, Seven days a week For Christ." He challenged us about being "Sunday Christians", and about being nice and "godly" when around other Christians but not when we're on our own; about what's in our hearts and not just our actions; about living for God with our whole lives rather than just giving him some of it. 24/7 just represents the whole being, the whole self, and 24/7 for Christ means all of our and dreams and thoughts and actions (not just all of our week) is to be utterly devoted to serving and loving Him.

It was the only time I went out the front after a sermon (well actually there were two others but they were under very different circumstances), as I had been genuinely challenged to live 24/7 for Christ. If not that particular night, then that year was certainly the turning point of my walk with God.

Okay, enough now. Next question: Do you have a favourite pastor/preacher? If so, who?

well, without a doubt, my favourite pastor/preachers are the ones at my church we have an awesome pastoral team... all two of them i love them, particularly my youth pastor, because he is not only my pastor but he is my friend, confidant, counsellor, teacher, comforter, food providor (well, when we invade his house for bible study each week anyway, actually, it's his wife who does most of the food providing... she ROCKS! - not just for her food though, she is many of these other things to me as well ), someone who always tells me the truth - especially when i'm wrong, AND... (wait for it)... driving instructor

ok, if we're talking about published teaching, then my all time favourite would have to be Max Lucado. i have some of his books and the bible that he put out (it has devotions down the margins next to the scriptures, it really helps me to understand the bible a little better). I find Max Lucado's teachings really down to earth and very easy to understand. i also like Bill Hybels, he pretty much gets straight to the point as well.

have you heard of planet shakers? if so, what do you think of them?

Leigh Mathews, Kelvin Moore (AFL hall of fame) did a coaching clinic with a footy team I was coaching.
Jack Potter (Aus cricketer '60s) held a cricket coaching course I attended.
Not greatly impressed by celebs, they are only talented humans, after all.

Funny you should ask that, LH. Main PC crashed, so I've been using a laptop for a while. Prefer the old PC though.

in my house, its ALWAYS cold! hehe... my boyfriend slept over after my friends party on saturday night.. and he was so cold sunday morning his teeth were chattering!!!

We have a "barrel" but I think it's empty at the moment. Although we currently have a just open box of chicken crimpy Shapes and a half eaten pack of Monte Carlo's.
