One commandment ..... LOVE ... expressed in two ways.

Matthew 22

37Jesus declared, “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

That's the bottom line. To the extent that we love God with our whole heart, soul, mind, and strength and our neighbor as ourselves, we've received all the righteousness, all the blessings, that God desires for us and our purpose would be attained. It's a journey, an incomparably good and worthy one. It's the reason that we were created, to come to know God and to love as He does, to the extent a created being is able, now filled with grace. This union of love is also the source of the uncompromised, ineffable happiness that all humans truly desire.
