I have a number of books on ocd. I have "the ocd workbook" and "brain lock" as well as others. Brain lock seems to be the only one that differs somewhat from the other books, in that it does not have the person do classic ERP things. What do you all think about this and what do you all think about the book brain lock?
The thing that i have had trouble finding in any of the therapists that i have seen over the years is someone that really did the ERP and CBT things as it is laid out in the ocd work book. This makes me wonder that if i cant find a therapist, or cant afford one, that does ERP and CBT if i should focus on trying to do the self directed therapy as laid out in the book brain lock?
Please post your thoughts and advice.
