  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Hi!

So I currently have a Nikon L110, I've had it since last Christmas. Over all I love it, but here recently the internal flash broke (or burned out. Not sure which), which lessens the photos I get to take because unfortunately unless it's in bright lighting (outside or indoors) it doesn't do well. It either looks blurry/shakey or it's just too dull. Now in sunlight or bright lighting indoors it works wonderfully. I've made some excellent pictures with it.

Anyway, I'm now looking for a different camera. My friend has one of the Canon Rebels and I love her pictures, and she says she's had no issues with her camera. I know all cameras aren't perfect and all have flaws though. lol

Anyway, there are three Rebels I'm looking at currently:

Canon Rebel EOS T3

Canon Rebel EOS T2i

Canon Rebel EOS T3i

Does anyone have any of these, or know anything about them that could help me out as to which are the better?

IMO The T3i is the highet priced one out of the 3, and seems to have more features, and I would rather buy one that I can learn from, rather one that I got the hang of too easily and became ready for a new one in the next 6 mos or so. If that makes sense.

Pros & Cons to each if you have any?

To be honest, I say buy the one you can afford. All three are great cameras, and all three will keep you "entertained" for years to come. I've had my Rebel XT for five years and am still learning new was to use all of its features. Boredom will NOT be an issue with these, or any digital SLR for that matter.

I'm saying that as someone who has never used full automatic mode in my life. I shoot all modes such as aperture priority, shutter priority, full manual, etc. for my photographs and make sure to use my external flash religiously. If you're only shooting in full automatic mode, get a point and shoot and save yourself some money.

Clear as mud? :)
