so, one of my close friends SWEARS up and down she is pregnant, she has taken the pregnancy test from home and it says she is...thing is...she keeps getting her period...is this common...

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
I don't think it's very common, but I have heard of it happening before where a woman can keep getting her period even 2-3 months into a pregnancy. If I was in her situation, I would go to the doctor and see if they could confirm the pregnancy with a blood test and/or ultrasound and see what they have to say about the bleeding.

I read that in rare cases some women do get period like bleeding. But, its not real period bleeding as that would mean shedding the uteris blood lining. Unfortunately, I can't remember what causes this sort of period like bleeding.
