  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

In the next few weeks/months I'll be going to the Dominican Republic and to Europe (respectively), and I'd like to have pictures as a keepsake for Europe, and also as a promotion of further help in the DR. I've read about a lot of cameras but digital SLR's appear to be the best route to go if I want to have a camera that will long be not only a good camera but durable.

Will that camera be suitable? Will it be OK at that price, or will other costs be included in this? I don't have enough money to shell out for an expensive memory card - is the one included enough?

This is a great camera, and like all things, it pays to shop for price. I think they probably will charge Insurance and packing costs, it's best to find out about that by contacting them.
It always pays to have a memory card on hand even if it is only a 200 one then you can go back through the photo's and delete which ones you don't like while they are still in the camera.

This camera is very light and compact and would do everything you'd want it to do. The SLR is a firm favorite with photographers.
