  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Why do my hair grow slower now when I am adult in contrast of my youth?

Similar to an alchohoics genetic question, why haven't I always been an alchoholic??

Do you know that as a fact? Is the change linear through the age?

I am speaking about myself not the mutitude.

All i noticed was that my hair should be longer these days!

I think it might vary with people. I feel my hairs grow like weeds. It is not any slower than when I was 20.

Experiment: Shave your head and start to raise hair for half an year. Then shave it again and save the hairs. Do the same 20 years later and compare the length of the hairs (label them, don't mixed up). You may also do this to your children (if allowed to shave, :D).

As far as the hair, possible causes for such an appearance:

1. Your hair is longer than you wore it in your youth. Each hair goes through a life cycle where it grows for a period, stops, then falls out. if your hair is on average longer, the apparent growth rate of your hair will decrease

2. change of nutrition, stress, or exercise habits. Im not 100% positive this would impact growth rate, but they can certainly impact hair health.

There was a scientist that was doing researched on an isolated island. He had an electric razor and he use to weigh the hair every time he shaved. When he went to town and got excited by the girls he noticed that his beard grew faster. So if your hair grew faster then you must have had more hormones in your system at the time.

First, you may simply be mistaken that your hair is growing slower.
Second, it may be growing slower for the same reason it falls out - you're going bald ;)

You can't be an alcoholic if you have no alcohol. Alcoholism can have a genetic element if you're predisposed to it, but that doesn't mean you will be an alcoholic if you so much as look at a bottle of beer.
