Why do people want to do divination so bad these days?

CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I reject the premise. What evidence do you have that people want to do divination "so bad these days"? Any statistics that the rate of people participating in divination has grown over the years?
Why would anyone do divination at all? Because people want reassurance that their futures will be OK.

I think for many, its a means of survival. I hear some make a lot of money from things like that. I take it tarot and palm reading are forms of divination? I stand corrected if im wrong.

Many people intuitively know something is very wrong ... many people (not just christians) also know chaos and other things are prophesied in His Word.
What is to be gained? Perhaps they will be more attentive to spiritual matters/teachings. Perhaps they will dive into the Word of God .... perhaps they will turn to the Lord because of that.

Well, we can have the most reliable guidance by submitting to how our Father rules us in His peace > in His peace, we are guided according to all He knows about people and the future and present circumstances.
But this will not be so we can live selfish lives.
So, if people want to have guidance for how to live their own lives the way they dictate . . . ones can try to use divination to get reliable input.
