[QUOTE="BoltNut, post: 68697223, member: 262230"] Over the years, I've seen and heard so many different things from politicians. Maybe I have become a bit cynical. Politicians, no matter who they are, do not "excite" me. It's been a long while since any excitement has been generated by a political candidate. When I look at the field of GOP candidates, I see that the top three are political "outsiders". This, makes me feel positive. The message from the average American is that we are all tired of the same old retreads. These "outsiders" may not have all the answers, but they bring attention to issues we all seem to care about, instead of just giving them "lip service". This has happened before, in that the candidate selected by the people was not considered to be from the "mainstream". Because the "mainstream" did not truly represent the opinions of the voter. The average voter wanted a candidate that actually stood for something instead of checking which way the political winds were blowing. That they actually believe in the things they say. Hopefully, this is the case with this election cycle. Personally, I don't know which candidate represents the "best" chance of doing the things I feel are necessary to bring this nation back from the 'brink'. I want to see a bit more from each of them.
