• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Can I register as two or three different people and come back and bump up my posts and agree with myself so I can bump out normal discussion between people who actually do discuss things between themselves?

-I think it is happening here, which is spamming, so I just wondered if I can do it legally even though my computer would identify me as me -say, can you identify all the newbies by their IP addresses who are here in a swarm reposting some of the threads that the original posters of have "left" and who repost them, but not for discussion but rather only to spam and agree only with 'themselves', but refusing to answer questions put to them and call the questions foolish and unlearned?

YES, that can happen, and the mods would know if the same computer would have say-3 different identitys.

This was happening in the eschat forum also.

I dont mean to offend anyone, i just call it as i see it.
Yeah,
I was on a forum a year or so ago that had someone who actually didn't have much going for him in the logic department, who was very much argumentative, and there was "another" person who always supported 'him' and who came on with the same attitude, and they "fawned" over each other's "wisdom" -nauseatingly- though neither had reasoning ability. I thought it was one and the same person -I think there may have been three names for that same, too- but one day he slipped up, replying as if he was one when he used the id of the other -very wicked of him to be false while claiming to be a Christian, BTW- but when called on it he said it was a joke for his "girlfriend" and that he traveled and had several computers and had used the wrong one to reply in the other's name -go figure.

And why would they choose to come on as a male if they were female? Weird stuff these days!

Galahad says: That's just downright silly. :p

Lamorak says: Galahad be nice. :prayer:

Gawain says: Hey guys, now which one am I?

Galahad says: Will we develop a split personality if we continue to talk among ourselves?

Lamorak says: Will we?? We already have.

Gawain says: HEY GUYS, WHICH ONE AM I?

Lamorak and Galahad say together: STOP SHOUTING GAWAIN!!

Warning from MODBOT: guys, please take this offline.

Ok.
Ok.
Ok. I think.

Consider the possibility of a husband and wife using the same forum name.

In Christ,
Tracey
My husband and me used to use the same computer, but never the same forum name, when we posted at a forum some years ago. Personally, I used to not disclose that I was a female because of the disrespectful treatment of women by some men in forums and in the body of Christ/"the church", there should be NO DISTINCTION...we are ALL ONE IN CHRIST JESUS.

But I do thank God, while I am here on earth, because I am mother of 3 and I wouldn't trade this blessed, yet challenging job for anything!

Even though I think this is a ridiculous thread...I posted in it anyway because I wanted to say that I miss the brothers and sisters in Christ that I have had fellowship with here. If any of you come by, and you know who you are...God bless you richly!

In Christ, Love abides!
