  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

John 11:54; 12:36b

Jesus got inside information refering to the intentions to kill him. Probably was John the apostle who brought the news; but "who" is irrelevant now. The point is that Jess did all possible to avoid a dead out of the correct date. At the other hand, the priest were doing all possible to avoid a dead in the Fest.

Since Christ said that he would be cruisified before the actual happenning, did he feel it from within? Doesnt it say somewhere that before the actual cruisification that Christ spoke of that the pharisaians bound him and thereby we must conclude it was from within?

If so I have a solution. :liturgy:

Hi Holkapolka, I'm not sure what you mean by "did He feel it", but the Bible does tell us He KNEW what was about to happen to Him (see .. John 18:4). He is, after all, both fully man AND fully God.

Yours and His,
David

Reading the Gospels we can see that Jesus have the same limitations we have and that he knew the same things we could know if in his positions. That portrait of Jesus without any divine atribute goes according to Hebrew and to Paul when he described Jesus as emptoed out of all divine atributes.
