:preach: When Jesus met the woman of Samaria at the well, he asked her for a drink of water . She was suprised since he was a Jew and she was a Samaritan who traditionally have no dealings with the Jews. Jesus told her, "If you knew who it was asking for a drink, you would ask him for a drink." She replied," Why would I ask you for a drink when you have nothing to draw water with and the well is very deep?" Jesus then said to her," He who drinks of this water will thirst again." We may drink of that water. We may have great ambitions and pursue the pleasures of man. Yes! you may drink of that water and achieve your goals and fulfill your fantasies but you are going to thirst again. It will not satisfy you! Your spirit is thirsting for God and nothing can satisfy that thirst, except a relationship with him. When Jesus said," If any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink." He was saying to everyone that deep down in your life you need God. "Come unto me and your life will be satisfied and fulfilled." Only Christ can satisfy your spiritual thirst for he brings you into a meaningful relationship with God.
