Quail chicks hatched.

My Quail eggs hatched last friday but unfortunately 3 died because the mother didnt keep them warm.They hatched overnight so I couldnt save them in time.One yellow one survived an its the size of a bumble bee.The mothers looking after it so I should have better success with her next clutch.

Not meaning to be rude, but why are you breeding them? There are hundreds in rescues if you're looking for a large covey, & quails introduce very well. I just had two Chinese Painted Quails, Button & Zipper, die of old age as fosters...

I just like doing it as a sort of hobby and because I like quail chicks.

Fair enough. Just make sure you have plenty of long dry grass for the quail to hide in, This is possibly why she lost two. In the long grass, they go to her by instinct for warmth. If they have no long grass, they can't scent her as well.
