purchasing a large print bible

Hi all, I am trying to purchase a used bible online. Boy it is tedious getting just the right bible when you can't actually see it. My question: I am looking at a niv life application study bible. I know that some of the people selling it say large print edition and some do not. If anyone is familar with this exact bible do you know if the regular size comes in large print and non large print. ( I am not asking if there is a compact edition)

Out of curiosity, have you tried the kindle (Amazon)?

Yes, the Life Application Bible comes in large print. The ISBN is 0842348956 for the hardcover version. If you use that number, you'll be able to find the specific bible you're looking for at one of the online sites selling books (e.g., Amazon, BN, Christianbook).

The publisher of the Life Application series is Tyndale Press. If you go to their website, you should be able to find the version you're looking for (large print, softcover, hardcover, or leather) and the ISBN. If you have the ISBN you'll be pretty safe when purchasing the one you want. If it turns out to not be a large or giant print, send it back. Check out the return policy too.

Obvioulsy it is the content that matters but I am treating myself to a specific bible when I find it some day.

Thanks, I guess when it comes down to it I am particular. I am having a really hard time finding this bible. Would be common to have a hard time finding this bible at a good price when I am being so specicif with what I am seeking?

Can anyone provide any other sites where I can potentially find the below bible.
1)Its fine if its used

2)Any kind of Study Bible, leather bound

3)leather Navy Blue Guilded silver edges with ribbon marker

4) NASB Large Print version

Kindle is a hand-held book reader sold by Amazon. I don't have one, but if I understand correctly you can "turn" pages with a button or something like that on the device itself. You download the books you buy and they're transmitted directly to the reader almost immediately, like when you download files on a computer. The books range in price from $0.99 and up; the Kindle itself comes in 2 sizes, one for nearly $500, the other for $259 as of today.

As for the specific bibles you're looking for, go to http://www.amazon.com, http://www.christianbook.com, http://www.bn.com, or http:www//berean.com.

Use the things you're looking for as search terms, like "study bible leather." Both BN and Amazon have ways to filter down the results, so don't be discouraged if you wind up with over 10,000 results. Do the same thing with the NASB, like in "NASB large print" and see what comes up. If you find one you're interested in, but want a specific binding like leather, on Amazon you can click "other formats" and that'll list every format available through that site (paper, hardback, cloth, leather).

The ISBN I gave earlier will get you the specific NIV Application Study Bible you mentioned in your OP. If that's what you're looking for, use that.

The toughest thing to find will be the exact gilt page coloring and bible color you want; I'd suggest you search at Berean first for the ISBNs for those bibles, then go to the other sites for price comparisons. Berean is much better at telling you about gilt pages (maybe not the specific color though) and ribbon markers. Both Amazon and BN have used bibles; Christian Book and Berean sell only new.
