How does God handle someone who wronged somebody in a wicked way? Do they just "get away with it" until Judgement day? Or does God cause problems for that individual appropriate to the wrong they committed?
My girlfriend was wronged by someone in a very wicked way and I am tempted to do something about it but I am trying to leave it for God and have belief that he won't allow this person to laugh at my girlfriend's misfortune.

A person has to believe Jesus and trust in his Atonement to be forgiven their wrongs in eternity.. In this world however we can often face concequences for our evil actions.. If a person has wronged someone in an evil way then it is likely they will be doing similar things to other people.. There are some people on this planet who you never want to wrong because they have explosive tempers and have a very short fuze.. You can end up in a very bad way if you mess with some people..

Also if you break the laws of the land then you can end up in prison and lose a lot.. Therer are all kinds of possible negative outcomes from doing evil in this world..

The answer is that every situation is going to be different. Many people will temporarily escape punishment for the wrong things they do. There are murderers, rapists, child molesters, etc... that will never get caught before they die. But the key phrase from your post is "until judgment day". On that day, every sin will be exposed and judged.

As for what happened to your girlfriend, I am very sorry. If it was a legal matter, I would recommend involving the authorities.

As Christians, we have the opportunity to respond to persecution and other people's sinning against us in such a way that glorifies God and serves to strengthen our relationship with Him.

James 1:2-5 - Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.

A wise old man once told if you are wronged by somebody wickedly, have a 7 days fasting of tasteless water only and pray to God for that people to repent.

We must fast and pray, fasting in inevitable, Daniel fasted for 21 days until he received an answer.

I have a similar problem with somebody who molested my little sister.
I am hoping his family received a military purple heart after his death.
So far, I have found no trace of him.
