We say that when God "passes by," some people God is being just for everyone deserves death in the first place. In this sense, we can't apply our human understanding of fairness to God. But what about the other extreme, God's rewards for us in Heaven based upon our works? Since God is sovereign and all our good works are the result of Christ in us, how can God fairly, (or justly,) assign differing rewards to believers?

Great question , I think it cannot be answered with just one answer.
First there is co-operation , yes this is after the New Birth:)
Then God crowns all His own work.
Then finally the crowns are cast at Jesus feet because each person recognises their own unworthiness and Jesus work in the elect.

Hope this stimulates some thought......

Wow, twice in one week. I suppose that makes you a fan. :) I've seen them twice. One time Alex broke a string on his guitar in mid-solo. He threw his guitar about 10 feet to a roadie who instantly threw him another one. He strapped it on and finished the solo barely missing a note. It happened so fast I'm sure many people didn't even catch it. Those guys are real pros on stage.
