i'd like to publically thank both glaudys and shenren for their thoughtful, appropriate and well written posts over the last few years i've spent online in this forum. They have consistently given me metaphors and ways of thinking that i will try to remember and use.
I've spent this weekend thinking about my motivations for being here. In the face of accelerating and intensifying personal attacks i really can't justify my time here. I'm in the process of finishing up one research topic and moving toward the next and feel the time pressures to read books rather than slough through the high noise/signal ratio here. I've seen this cycle of personal attacks before and i have no reason to discontinue my policy of ignoring and not responding to them but concentrate on the issues at hand.
So i plan to move my online discussion time towards the ASA list which is a higher quality, less personal attacks place and just scan these CF groups. I appreciate the time i was here and wish each of you the best in your life.
Thanks again for making my intellectual life a bit brighter and maybe me a little wiser.
