Well, it has been a while, but I thought I would post another psalm that I wrote. We just got done with my Bible study a bit ago and I am still a little pumped! Hope you think it is praiseworthy of the Lord.
PSALM #2
You call to me
You call me to be
That which You choose
You made me
You want me to see
The plan You have for me
When I do wrong
And go my own way
You are there
Waiting for me
To turn back to You
When I slip and fall
You hear me call
And are there to pick me up
When I scream and fight
And cry in the night
Your love and compassion
Are right by my side
When I do wrong
And put You to shame
And leave myself open to blame
You still love me
And cover my disgrace
With Your precious blood
And everlasting, holy grace
All has been created by You
And all is in You
Nothing is outside of Your care
My life is Yours
Whether I submit or rebel
The choice is mine
Heaven with You, or separated in hell
You give me mercy
You give me grace
Your beauty shines upon my face
You are the wonder
That is on my mind
Of You, there is no other kind
There are none who can see what You see
And know what You know
Is Your love for me a burden or always pleasure?
Can I ever know love like You do?
You amaze me and keep me in awe
That I can look away and forget You at times
Seems impossible; yet it happens
Do You feel pain as I do?
Do I hurt You?
I am sorry for my sin and my false sense of self
Please forgive my idolatry, lust, envy, and hate
Peel away the world and reveal the real me
The me hidden beneath my flesh
Show me the Way
You are the Way
You are the Truth
You are the Life
You are all there truly is
Strip me bare until I only see You
Help me leave the world behind
Help me to move forward; closer to You
You are my salvation
You are everything
Praise be to You, Lord Almighty
You are all there is
You are meaning itself
Thank You for loving me enough to make me
Thank You for loving me enough to save me
Thank You for longing to spend eternity with me
Thank You for Who You are
Thank You for all You do
