I'm just venting at the disgusting behavior that I witnessed the other day on the news. The rioting and fighting over the PS3's release really just bummed me out big time. It's so sad to see people so obessed with possessions and material goods, that they would be willing to trample other people to get them, or fight someone preventing them from obtaining the item. It's just horrible. I wish people would put that kind of passion into the things that matter in life, not STUFF.

People are reselling them (maybe) on Ebay for a couple grand.

I had to look up what PS3 is. Last time I played a game they were, I guess, a little different.

It's amazing to me how important a game system is to people that they would waste that much time trying to get one and would treat other people that way....It's disgusting and disheartening

It's pretty pathetic, but I can't say this type of thing surprises me anymore. This seems to happen with one type of toy or another every Christmas.

Heh, Google search results are targetted pretty good. There's like 5 ads telling me where I can buy a PS3. I won't buy one until they make a game that I can make money off of Competition style or L3vvt farming style.

It saddens me also to see people behaving this way over a video game system. The spirit of Christmas has been almost lost, instead of a day to celebrate the birth of Lord Jesus, we're fighting with other shoppers in malls over a toy.

Heh, my hardcore gaming days are over. I'd rather spend 600 on workout equipment and designer clothing, and then invest what I didn't already spend.

That said, I might get a Wii at some point or another.

There's this Mexican teenybopper group called RBD. Well, I heard on the Spanish news that there was a stampede of teenagers running into the concert and one teenager died by being crushed by said stampede.

A popular pastor and speaker once commented on something that relates to this. He said that Christians of the past were so serious and absorbed in their God and the theology about Him that they were even willing to put others to death for spreading what they considered heretical teachings.

What is worse? To be so indifferent to such absolutely vital truths of the Word of God, or to care so much about them that you hand people over to execution for trampling them?

I wish people were so passionate about the Word of God that we have Bible shortages. I need a swift kick in the pants every so often to see just how marvelously beautiful the Scriptures are, and how, if we didn't have them freely, we would hopefully be willing to die to get them!

PS3 is nothing, absolutely nothing. Not only will it not last beyond this world, it won't even last beyond the century! It'd be lucky to reign for five years over a puny, mostly worthless kingdom of video games.

I agree it's sad to see how much things like game consoles seem to take over people's lives. Plus, come on, the sensible thing to do is wait for the price to go down!!!
