Please, somebody answer me this. For years, I've wanted a PS2 network adapter, and I've seen them about a million times. (And I remember them always being about $20) This Christmas, I'm finally asking for one. Here's my question, I've googled information on it, and I've found many forums sites where people are saying how they can't find any anywhere and that they cost like $50. I'm confused with this. Have I been lucky every single time I've gone out to a store and seen it? Or are they talking about something else. Anyways, I checked if a local game store had them and they got a bunch, at least used, I think, so I don't think I'll be having a problem. I'm just confused as to what those people were talking about.

They might have been looking for the hard drive. I dunno.

The "slimline" PS2's have a built-in network adapter, so they are pretty much obsolete, from my understanding.
Yeah, I have the first model. If they're not selling them new anymore, I'll be fine with used. I've just always wanted to play some of my games online like Tony Hawk's Underground.

Yep, they aren't really easy to find, either the hdd's (the "hard drive" to some people) or the network adapters. But, Willard's right when he says the new ones come with a built in network adapter, but you can't put the hdd in it. Oh well, is what I would say. So, my suggestion to you is to take your old ps2 and trade it in for a slimline. I mean, it'd only cost like, 25 american denaro's in stead of 50, for just the network adapter.
