Prozac

Hi everyone. I was just wondering if anyone here, has/had ever tried the antidepressant prozac.

Sometimes, I seem to feel sick on them, but i have only been taking these for about a week so far.
Has anyone else felt sick from them?
if so, does it disapppear once your body gets used to them? or is it more of a lasting effect?

I may consider stopping them if feeling sick doesnt stop. Im not sure how much antidepressants are/aren't helping me right now, its confusing.

But yeah, anyone any experiences with this drug??

I do not have any experience with it personally, but many of the side effects disappear (such as nausea) after a few weeks for most people. If they last longer than that for you, you might want to call your doctor or mention it next time you see them. I hope it works out for you and helps you get things back on track.

I've been on prozac for quite a while but I never felt sick with it but it could just be a side affect cause I know that different ppl react differently

If the feeling doesn't go away I surgest you go back to your dr you might be allergic to one of the ingredients.

I was on this for a few months but it didn't help me. The side effects i got wore off after 2-3 weeks, i had sweaty hands, but that was all.

I am on Prozac now and have been for the past 4 months. It has worked out really good for me. I had very little side effects, just a little weight loss and fatigue the first few weeks. But everything's normal now. I actually think it is a good and effective anti-d compared to Zoloft, which I tried about 9 months ago and felt very sick on. Good luck with taking it and I hope you don't experience any harsh side e's with it.

Thanx Trinity...I ment to say in my last post (I guess I forgot) that it doesn't work for me at all but my dr did say today that it could be because my depression isn't clinical and also that antidepressants tend not to work very well on teenagers

I have been on Prozac. It worked wonders for me. However, after a while if lets me feeling flat and totally not interested in sex.

However, the side effects were worth it. I was feeling way worse without the meds.

Keep in mind, though, just because Prozac worked for me doesn't mean it will work for you. You sort of need to find what works for you.
