Or is this a thread to quote the book of Proverbs (and perhaps more importantly, Proverbs important to the individual)?

The reason I ask about your point is due to the fact that this is a Discussion and Debate forum and so assume you want to discuss and/or debate your OP.

they are not, but what if they were?

Proverbs is quite good up to a degree but there are points where you cannot listen to them. esp regarding the above
