  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I know that everyone here have an array of belief levels and how they perceive things. So I wanted to know, based on your methods of reasoning, can you prove that love exist? How would you access it, if you would at all?

No greater love exists than that a man lay down his life for another. Many have died for the sake of others. That is love of another over yourself.
Unfortunately, those kinds of people are few and far between.

I think if you grow up without love you probably won't know how to give it or how to learn to do it. Where can you get love so that it stays in your heart if you have no access to it?

Could you define "prove," please?
There is a sense in which nothing can be proven conclusively.
According to the Bible, God is literally synonymous with true love. (1 John 4:8)
This claim, taken to its logical conclusion precludes any proof that would satisfy the average empiricist or rationalist.
The proof of God (love) stands or falls on His word and is, at this time, objective only to the individual mind.
So the demonstration/exhibit of proof of love's existence for the casual observer is rare, if even possible. The immediate appearance of God (love) is consumptive/destructive to the human race in its present, depraved state. In the past, it has been necessary to veil love with humanity itself (as in the case of the Christ), or with obstructed viewing such as from behind God amidst a rock (to Moses).
This is the natural (at present) state of man's obscure view of and struggles to find true love.

I can prove it to myself, to my own satisfaction, in the perception of my own phenomenological experience. It is one manifestation & expression of self and greed.

Phenomenology is so fluid as to be practically meaningless in communicative pursuits.

Which love? Agape? Eros? Storge? Philia? Other? Different demonstrations, with different degrees of certainty would likely apply to each.
