  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

*This rates as a 9.8 on the "things I didn't want to know" scale ... be warned!*

So I opened my can of salmon tonight... and noticed something that "didn't quite look the others" from what you'd typically find in a can of Pink. Being the biology student that I am, a closer examination revealed my specimen to be Diphyllobothrium dendriticum. Needless to say I am thoroughly grossed out, LoL! This definately beats the grasshopper in my string^beans, the multilegged "thing" in my wild^rice... and the sheet metal screw in my pan^cakes. Although I realize salmon is cooked as all canned products are I think I'll stop by the doctor in the next day or two and discuss "options."

Dood that so rocks. I looked it up on the web (http://www.state.me.us/ifw/fishing/fishlab/vol4issue1.htm) to see what it was, they're soooo cute.

Good thing you looked down first before eating your salmon. Nate thinking to himself "what's that wiggling in my mouth"

Oh well, whatcha gonna do? Icky stuff unfortunately will find it's way into food periodically, I guess we just have to stomach it from time to time
