I understand that it can be hard. Fathers were supposed to be an practical illustration of how HE acts and behaves toward us but sin mars that image. I pray that the Heavenly Father will give you a direct revelation of His love so that you can truely understand the difference.

Lily-of-the-Valley if you don't mind I will pray that he places a fatherly figure in your life, know that Jesus is your father as well I know it sometimes isn't the same though. Which is why I hope and pray he will bring someone fatherlike into your life

anything specific and real, not generic and vague, would be welcome.
don't feel obligated and PLEASE if you don't hear direct and clear, don't just fill in the gap. it would rather have NO word at all than something confusing, vague, and lending itself to suspicions of subtle spiritual abuse. it bes severely fragile right now and cannot take that crap, so please tread with care as with a smoking flax take care you do not snuff it out.

Yes, it is Father's day here. Thank you for thinking of me on this hard day. It was made worse by an action my father did the last couple days. It hurt me, but it has devestated someone else in my family, and that I am having a hard time with. I am used to him doing stupid things. But this went one step further,

Hi Mark,

It's a looooooong story!
The night before the exam I just couldn't sleep, I tried everything, praying, warm milk, reading, resting, clearing my mind, nothing worked. I ended up getting 2 hours sleep maximum before the exam and when I woke up I was sooo tired and felt ill. My mind was just wandering everywhere and I could hardly remember what I had studied.
My Dad ended up having to drive me to the exam, cause I was so tired it was too dangerous for me to try and drive. After the exam, I was pretty bummed out cause I felt I could've done better if I had been able to think straight. My brother heard about what had happened and he called me straight after the exam (which is very rare for him to do). He told me that if I go and see a Doctor and get a medical certificate I would be able to qualify for 'special consideration' and they would try and average out my exam results with the rest of my grades. This was such good news and after the exam my Mum came and got me and took me to the Doctors and he straight away wrote me a medical certificate and was very helpful.

On the night before when I couldn't sleep and I was praying, I was getting pretty annoyed with God. Even though deep down I knew it wasn't his fault, I was just angry he wasn't answering my prayer and helping me fall asleep. Now that I look back I can see that God turned around this bad situation and helped me spend some much needed time with my family. It also helped me realised how much they care about me and wanted to help me as much as they could and for that I am thankful to God.
