  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

This weekend is the national project Linus day. I will be donating three quilts to this charity. This is my first time doing so. I have been crocheting since I was in elementary school. I have been quilting for about six years. I have always said I wanted to donate blankets, but I kept putting it off. I want to know if any of you have donated your work to charities before?

Only on a local level.
My daughter and I use baby yarn to knit caps for chemo patients. We drop them off at our local hospital.

We go in spurts - working like mad for a month or so and getting quite a few done up - and then we'll go months without making any. It's something we like to do though.

I'd be interested in learning more about project Linus. I'm not familiar with it.

I went to a project Linus benefit this weekend for the first time it was awsome. There was a sewing machine drawing and I didn't win but I had a great time. I have just had a nephew in the hospital for openheart surgery and my son was in the hospital for about a month. It felt good to give back something.

I make blankets, preemie caps, booties and teddy bears for Project Linus.

I sent 12 preemie caps to my BIL for the Hershey Med. Center as part of a collection drive the radio station he listens to was doing last month.

I've given blankets and bears to the local Childrens Advocacy Center.

I make prayer shawls as part of my churches prayer ministry.
