Looking at all these threads of late I am wondering where the progressive thought has gone..... it appears the threads and answers are more mainstream and/or traditional...... hmmmmm....

I didn't think I was the only one....
For whatever it's worth, I have appreciated the patience that progressives have displayed in allowing me to post. I hope that I have not abused the generosity of the progressives who post here. I further hope that friends such as Aza and Avonia are merely taking a much-deserved breather. Rest is a good thing.

you're good BFA..... and while I don't mind the other threads, in my opinion they are not reflective of stuff we usually cover in this area.....
What progressive topics can we explore?

I think the problem is that the traditional SDA have been posting on this board. I notice cross posters and some that object to posting a similar post on both boards. It seems to me there is a clandestine effort by them to kill this board. If they do watch for a change in the SDA board. I could say lots more but wish to stay out of trouble.I've noticed a lurch towards "conservative" over the last 5 months or so.
The threads that become large sequences of off-topic multi-quote-quotes, usually on an obscure point of doctrine... I have been seeing too many of them recently. I find them a real turn-off. They are difficult to follow and are usually irrelevant.
I'm still around, but have just been too busy to read or post much recently. Hopefully Aza, Avonia and others are in the same position as me.
There are quite a few, however I get a sense that most of us who considered ourselves progressive have "left the building" as it were... I mean really, in the past we were not discussing the "law" in every other thread....
Oh well, such is life.... I'll continue to lurk every now and again, but clearly the tone has changed here in this sub-forum....
Take care....
Hello all! Nice to see you.
Yes, this sub-forum is shifting. If I stumbled by for the first time, I would assume it's an ultraconservative sub-forum. But that's OK. I honor this shift and know people gravitate toward the things they are most interested in discussing.
From my perspective, the frames-of-reference most often in question look similar, even though I understand that to some they look radically different.
I respect the interests of those who have shaped the conversation in ways they find value. And I also respect the conviction, attention to detail, and effort of the posters here. There are a lot of quality people hereand that's been nice to be around. I've gotten to know some amazing friends on the Adventist sub-forumsI feel privileged.
And, having said that, most of what I'm interested in falls in different circles than those being drawn now. So, at the moment, I am out and about other placesbut may be back around!
I am grateful for all of you.
Blessings!

Please don't do that. I think the traditional side has seen a lot less activiety because of some dominant people. I have read about it in the SDA forums. The complaint is that it always comes back to the law in almost every thread. I go what? SDA tired of talking about the law? You have to be kidding.I realize that I am now paddling upstream with only one paddle. I will probably abandon the effort soon.
