Considering I fancy progressive rock music like Dream Theater, Pink Floyd & Neal Morse among others (who by the way has created a large amount of Christian music in progressive rock style), I see now that one of my favorite rock singers Donnie Vie is featured on an all new progressive rock band album called "Primitive Overflow - Honor Way Down", playing progressive rock music with themes of prayer. It will be released on Prog Rock records.
An interesting snippet from the text that I found online:
" "Honor Way Down" features progressive cuts with power pop hooks that both sound current and evoke the early progressive scene, when rock & roll was a very spiritual matter. Inspired by The Creative, he creates music for the sake of music. The songs portray themes of love and belief, even when taking the "Honor Way Down." Donnie provided the "Primitive," or human perspective that recalls the sincerity of John Lennon, whereas Hoyt provided the "Overflow" or need to reach beyond the realm of rock recalling 1960's innovators such as Brian Wilson to present. Together they created Primitive Overflow, rock & roll that holds on, leaps and overreaches, but always cuts to the heart."
It sounds like very inspired music. Very open minded to mix pop vocals & topics about belief with within a progressive rock context, following up on music in a similar style of Neal Morse.
