  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Profound Grace

A tree once full of life is now in splinters
Finding its way into our hands and sticking
More fearful of the removal we have to administer
Than a message of blood that is still trickling

Long ago the marks were made in two palms
Not wood but nails in hands and in his feet
Exhausted, overwhelmed, weak yet still calm
Wounds dripping of sins while battered and beat

The sun gave up its light as a candle blown out
The curtain that separated man and God torn
The earth shook the minds of many throughout
Leaving a deeper impression than a crown of thorns

The Old Testament not null, but provided ground
To bloom into the testimony of God's love for us
From knowing our sins by the law to grace unbound
Even when one sinner repents, Angels rejoice in this (Luke 15:10)

Still, it sparks wonder into men from all over
That a man could convert from persecuter to pursuer
Enough to make the most challenging man to turnover
Enough to make a liar into someone that is a doer

A gift freely given and is offered at our fingers
And we are pricked with conviction and questions
Flipping through pages of the offer as it lingers
Would we want an eternity of peace in a life investing?
