I didn't realize that was a Christian Doctrine. Where did you hear that?Ah, the good old Christian doctrine of Terra Nullius.
Yup.all rhe citizens of Israel. A NATION.It belongs to all the citizens, Jewish, Christian Muslim, Druze...It is a secular state and doesn't "belong to the Jews"
Egypt conquered no nation when it took over Gaza. Jordan conquered no nation when it took over the West Bank. The same as you say for Israel and what it took over. What nation did they conquer again to get nation of Israel?
What? (And would you mind answering the actual question?)Nobody is required to adhere to laws of a previously failed state.

How did we get here? I thought the claim was Israel was a conquerer. I merely pointed out they didn't conquer any nation. Now we are on Egypt and Syria taking over the West Bank and Gaza. I dont believe I made any such claim. So why are you talking about them??Egypt conquered no nation when it took over Gaza. Jordan conquered no nation when it took over the West Bank. The same as you say for Israel and what it took over.
Probably. But that's what they are entitled to do. And now Arabs of all kinds live and own land in Israel.Possibly, but it definitely looks bad when you honor Jewish deeds under the Ottoman Empire, but not Arab ones.
I don't see anything in your "reply" about property or deeds or anything like that. Just some nonsense about "failed states" which didn't make any sense at all.I did.
I merely pointed out that Israel held the land by right of conquest--Britains conquest. Even so, the Europeans they eventually gave it to had to fight their way in.How did we get here? Made sense to me. I think others understood what I was pointing out. Anything that is created by a state is only legal while that state exists. Once it fails all legal documents filed with that state arw no longer valid when a new state is formed with new laws, new legal system and new legal documents. Unless of course the new state decides to honor the old states legal system.I don't see anything in your "reply" about property or deeds or anything like that. I still dont understand your point. Israel didn't conquer any state. They just decided to take the land that had been offered to them. If anything, they took the land from Britian, but it could be argued Britian had pulled out and didn't care.I merely pointed out that Israel held the land by right of conquest--Britains conquest. Even so, the Europeans they eventually gave it to had to fight their way in.

I misunderstood your statement....my bad.You mean it wasn't part of the Ottoman Empire? Or is it that General Allenby is not a real historical figure? Oh, tell me where I went wrong.
But planning the attack. Israel simply preempted them. It is stupid to let the bad guy get in the first punch when you can prevent it....but not attacked.
According to God it does; I'll take His word over anyone else's any day.It belongs to all the citizens, Jewish, Christian Muslim, Druze...It is a secular state and doesn't "belong to the Jews"
But they could be. The contract is between the state and the people. You are talking what is typical not what must be.The ottoman state surrendered and was occupied with the allies taking all of the territory we are discussing here. When regimes change typically prior legal documents are not fully wiped out. Marriages aren't annulled, contracts aren't voided, land deeds aren't invalidated.
You are almost there, to the crux of the question --
With the British mandate partitioning of the southern Levant and the creation of the state of Israel, who's land ownership was recognized and who's wasn't?
Ostensibly it was the blockade of an Israeli port, and not an expected attack, that constituted the casus belli. But planning the attack. Israel simply preempted them. It is stupid to let the bad guy get in the first punch when you can prevent it.
A blockade is considered an act of war....Ostensibly it was the blockade of an Israeli port, and not an expected attack, that constituted the casus belli.
Then the Israelis have been at war with the Gazan people for ages.A blockade is considered an act of war....
