As for your question, I think that it is only right that any person convicted of any crime, take the sentence that the court decides. So, whether he be a Catholic priest, or an atheist, or a Satanist, or a President, if he does a crime, he should be held accountable.

God is not a respecter of persons.

And our jury system should not be either.

If they have committed a crime, then they go to prison. The prison is to take care that people who may be in danger of assult be kept from those who wish to kill certain inmates. Simple LOGIC.
