Hi guys,
A Messianic friend of mine was on a live chat with on the of the rabbis at
askmoses.com and, according to him, they were quite rude to him when they
found out he was Messianic. Because of the fact that they hold no-one can
believe Yeshua is the Messiah, and still be a Jew, he decided to prove their
prejudice.
Though I do not approve of him lying even if it is for an alledged 'good cause',
I must say that I was indeed intrigued by the script he sent me.
So, I'd like to share it with you and ask what you think.
I felt very sad when I realized that we could believe the exact same thing
we do nowadays as long as the person we believed to be HaShem incarnated
were not Yeshua, and we would still be accepted as part of the Jewish community.
Now, because it is Yeshua, then "we're no longer Jews"...
Anyway, here's the transcript... let me know what you think of it... (should
be good 'fuel' for a nice discussion)
-----------------
Aaron: Hi... I have a serious problem, can you help?
Askmoses.com Rabbi: i can try
Aaron: I have this friend whom I have feelings for, we've been friends since
childhood, and recently she's gotten involved with a kabbalistic group
She asked me to attend a shul at her synagogue and so I went and I was
totally shocked. After shul, I was talking to the rabbi and he openly admitted that they
believe Rebbe Lubavitch was a manifestation of G-d on Earth and that he
is to be worshipped. I was like so shocked because my friend shares that belief
I was going to propose to her, so I went to the rabbi of the synagogue I attend
(reformed) and asked if I could marry her
Askmoses.com Rabbi: just a min
Aaron: And he said I couldn't because due to that belief she was no longer a
Jew, so marrying her would be like marrying a goy
ok, I'll hold
Askmoses.com Rabbi: it is not so simple
Aaron: Is he right that I should consider her a goy?
Askmoses.com Rabbi: no
Aaron: So, can I marry her?
Askmoses.com Rabbi: she is still a jew
Aaron: But what are the implications of her belief?
Askmoses.com Rabbi: she needs to talk to someone that can help straighten her out
Aaron: And let's suppose she doesn't... can I still marry her or should I look
for another girl? Problem is I think she is 'the one', you know?
Askmoses.com Rabbi: if you think she is the one then you can work out your differences
Aaron: What a relief... I was so worried!!! Thanks for your help!!! G-d bless you!!!
