predicting Christ's coming

1. If the Bible says "No man shall know the day our hour", is that a LAW (a commandment established by Yeshua)?
2. If it's not a Law, are you guilty of adding to YHWHs word by making it a law?

3. For the unaware, there is one Feast Day every year that "No man knows the day our hour"

4. I'll venture a guess on a date: Oct. 3, 2016

So you just said that we are not to predict the date, yet in the same post you did so? This makes no sense (even though you did say we reserve the right to change it.).

I wasn't advocating observing "No man shall know the day our hour"

I was arguing against it and those who choose to observe it as a commandment.

That's why I'm at liberty to set the date of Oct 3, 2016

I agree.

1947 (UN decree for land of Israel)
1967 (Jerusalem)
2017 (70 years - Jesus will be ruling on the earth)

Jesus comes to destroy during a future (no man knows day or hour) Feast of Trumpets or even Day of Atonement but the devil gets 42 months prior to that moment.

Therefore, the appearance in the air for the church will happen this year or next year, in the Spring.

The timing is too perfect - between 2nd/3rd millennium, 2000 years since Christ, blood moon tetrads in 2014-2015, geopolitical alignment with prophecy - it's all lined up.

All we need is for people to start arguing over Jerusalem.

Well, then when would the devil/antichrist reign for 42 months? That has to come BEFORE Jesus comes (otherwise, you'd have the antichrist overthrowing Jesus instead of the other way around)?

That was referring to the Jewish exile to Babylon around 500 BC.

At one moment in time, after this great tribulation is cut short and prior to wrath, Jesus appears in the air and calls the church to Himself in heaven, where we will dwell with Him.

About 42 months later, Jesus comes on the clouds with the armies of heaven, including the immortal church, to destroy those who choose to worship the devil.

The return of the Lord begins when He appears for the church, closing the door for salvation by the blood of the lamb, and the time of wrath begins, which the blood-bought church is not appointed to suffer.

Yes, but the point was that God moves after seventy years passes.

By the time Israel turns 70, God will be reigning on this earth and the devil will be bound in an abyss.

Beth you really need to back off. I don't know what it is, but something about Rev makes people "need" to have everything in perfect predictability, which the rest of NT says will not be the case! Go figure that!

The first bible prophecy expert I ever heard was absolutely-burn-me-at-the-stake positive that the revised Westminster Confession in the Pres. Church of USA was the mark of the Beast. He was so influential he started a separate Bible church to follow him in our town of 1500 in 1965. Everything he was "positive" about was false, sometimes as soon as he said it. BUt he "needed" to so badly.

This is not the temperament of the NT, but based on your spurts of posts and corners painted, I'm afraid you're much the same, and you are missing some major study and background.

There is no biblical reason to ignore 40 years for a generation (see the many psalms and histories) but you've talked yourself into 70 because it "fits" with 1948. You've done that because you're in an intellectual corner where it "has" to be true for some reason, and that is a very dangerous way to think.

The NT simply does not 'sound' like this. It was to be sure very concerned over the gen immediately following the crucifixion and to the DofJ (about 40 years by the way). But it has no clear statement after that. And it doesn't need to. Anyone grounded in Romans will know that you could survive all storms on 3:21-31, but it does not matter at all if you make a mistake about timing a rapture or not.

Yeah, I do, too. The timetable seems a bit puzzling. That would require an awful lot of things to happen in very fast order. Lot of things still yet to happen and I don't see how they can all take place before 2017.

All the things Jesus described in Matthew 24.... wars and rumors of wars, signs in the heavens, economic chaos, one-world government, false christs, the antichrist. All these have to take place BEFORE Jesus sets up his kingdom and destroys evil.

Now, if there is some other time 42 months prior that Jesus comes, I suppose that is possible. Trying to understand more on that line of thinking.

The first four seals were sent out after Jesus ascended, to desolate Jerusalem (Ezek 14:21).

The church is given immortality at the 5th seal.
Wrath begins at the 6th seal.
Wrath is poured out during the 7th seal (trumpets, beasts, bowls).
Then Christ comes to destroy.

There is nothing yet to occur before Christ gives immortality to the church.

Except maybe we'll see them (nations of the world) begin to argue over dividing Jerusalem. (Zech 12)

I see that already. But I think there will be (1) a war, (2) a peace treaty and (3) the temple rebuild before all is said and done. It might happen in the next couple of years.
