  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Firstly, I think this is definitely in the wrong forum. Secondly, is having an Internet forum "debate" on this topic really a fruitful way to be spending our time? IMHO a Christian's opinion on the free will / election / predestination issue is not a salvation issue, ie it is not a foundational issue/belief that affects a person's salvation.

I'm not suggesting a person's beliefs on the issue are inconsequential, but why start an argument here? To me it's sort of like the "age of the Earth" debate; young, old, special creation, theistic evolution ... not a salvation issue. Discuss, fine, but not an issue Christians should be fighting about.

End rant. No, sorry, I'm not interested in debating this topic. :)

Please read the article in the link below, and then let's have a debate on the subject. The aticle contains many many scriptures in it. Thank - You

When I saw the form name college/bible college, I thought there would be students desiring to go deeper in God's word.

I didn't know this was a salvation forum only.

Your inferring that I want to fight or argue, I do not.

A proper understanding of predestination, election, grace, justification, and sanctification brings great freedom to the life of a believer, it may or may not be a salvation issue, it depends if a person is a false convert or not. Surely you must agree, that the above issues, are connected, or go with salvation.
