Praying for a Spouse

If you are married, did you pray for a spouse? If yes, did you pray specific things and can all of those specific things be found in your spouse?

If you are single, do you pray for a spouse? If yes, do you pray for specific things?


*By "specific things," I'm not saying height/weight measurements and shoe size, though I suppose that would count too. I just mean asking for something more specific than "whatever is your will, Lord" or "please send me a good Christian wife/husband."

Yes. I prayed for a few specific things and my spouse has all of them.

Mine were more like how he would feel about me, God, and a sense of humor.

I did, too, and with the same result. I was always skeptical of people saying they prayed for specific things and found them in their spouse, but it happened to me.

Praying for a spouse is an alien concept to me.
That probably says something about my desire to be married.
