  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Brothers and sisters in Christ. Jesus did teach us what we shall pray, and how. Should that not then be the only prayer? I mean, now we have a lot of them, well,"Ave Maria" is one I like to keep,it is so beautiful in Latin, but all the others. Christ says that our Heavenly Father know all what we want or need before we even know it our self, why then pray other prayers. Well,I love to pray, and will not stop, but thinking at it is in The Bible that prayer Jesus did teach us is the only one we need. Am I right or wrong?

Jesus gave us a model of how to pray :) it's certainly praiseworthy to pray the Our Father much... but we can also follow that model to pray other prayers. We can pray in other ways too... like the Hail Mary as you said - which also has divine origins, I mean the first part is God's message to Mary through Archangel Gabriel!

God bless :)

I think the Our Father hits all points on how we should pray. It starts by reverencing God. We pray for the Kingdom to come....we ask for His will to be done here as it is in Heaven. We ask for our daily needs... we ask forgiveness but there is a reminder... to be merciful because we ask God to forgive us as we forgive others. To be delivered from evil & so on. It pretty much covers everything. It's pretty much a summery of the whole gospel.
