Hi everyone, there's something I would like to share with you all. Last Friday I was brought to the realization that death can come at any time, even for us.
Last Friday, 2 kids from my old church youth group were killed in a car crash. Here's the link to the news article: News Article. Below is an exerpt.
It was Max's 17th birthday.
These 2 guys, Mark and Max, were guys I knew pretty well. We had been in the same church youth group for 3 years. I can confidantly say that both Mark and Max loved God and Christ and are safely with Him in heaven. The 2 of them had some of the strongest faith at my high school.
I'm saying this to emphasize this point: We really don't know when were going to die. When 2 of your friends die, it really puts things in perspective. Gone are the trends, the way you look, the pressures that were put upon you by others, the stresses of class and work, pretty much everything. It shows what is really important: Having a personal relationship with God and our relationships with others.
Please pray for their families. Thanks.

About 15 friends came to a dusty knoll near the Ritz Carlton resort hotel and Salt Creek Beach Park today to mourn the death of two Laguna Beach High School students.
Maxwell Sadler, 16 whose birthday would have been Sunday, was pronounced dead at 1:45 a.m. at Mission Hospital Regional Medical Center in Mission Viejo, said Orange County Sheriffs Department spokesperson Jim Amormino.
Sadler was driving a Mercedes-Benz south on Pacific Coast Highway at about 8:30 p.m. Friday when it veered into the northbound lane and collided with a SUV, said Amormino. A passenger in the Mercedes, Mark Tiner of Laguna Niguel, died at the scene, Amormino said. Tiner's 17th birthday was May 22.
The SUV driver and a 13-year-old female passenger sustained non-life-threatining injuries, he said. They are Dana Point residents.
Amormino said investigators ruled out alcohol or drugs as a cause of the accident and are determining whether vehicle malfunction contributed to the accident.
Friends of the boys sought answers today, too.
They brought flowers, a pair of makeshift crosses, an electric guitar and a volleyball jersey as they constructed a memorial near the accident scene just outside the Salt Creek Beach Park tower. Sadler, of Laguna Beach, was an avid surfer. Tiner, of Laguna Niguel, played volleyball.
