Prayers for our Spouses/Ourselves

Hi Everyone,

I wanted to be the first one to start a prayer chain. Let's get the ball rolling and really set our hearts on fire for God. Here goes...


Heaven Father, we praise You. You are Holy and worthy of our praise forever. We seek you and want to know you better. Please make us empty vessels that you can pour your Spirit into. We want to convey the love of Christ to our spouses. Only You can change us, Lord. Make us instruments of peace and reconciliation in our marriages. May the Holy Spirit be alive and active in our hearts and actions so that our spouses can't resist you. Show us where there is sin in our heart with regard to our spouses. We want to glorify you. O Lord, strengthen us. We praise you! In the precious name of Jesus. Amen.

Dear Heavenly Father,
We praise you, and give thanks to you for giving us your love and mercy. Lord, I pray for those who are seaking love in theres lives. Who are seaking a spouse. I pray that you'd be the whisper in their ears and that you'd help them to make the right decisions in their relationships. I pray that everyone find a person they can love, who loves you too.
I ask these things in Jesus name.

JESUS precious JESUS

I give you praise and honor for all you do for us everyday Lord the seen and unseen, I thank you for the work you have done in our lives, I lift up these spouses that do not know you yet and pray that you will touch them and speak to them in their daily life that everywhere they will see you. I pray that you will give us wisdom and understanding in how we should be in our daily lives, how we can best serve these ones, I pray for compassion and strength to see and love our mates as you love them, and pray that they will be gentle and understanding with us.

Heavenly F-ther, mighty G-d,

When I consider what you have done in our lives, how you watch over us, tend to our needs, comfort us, lift up our spirits - my L-rd I wonder at your mercy, and your love. Thank you for your perfect love, your Grace and your faithfullness. Thank you, that you only bestow on us what we can bear, but that you take from us that which we cannot bear. Thank you for blessing us with another new day - a beautiful day filled with your Spirit. My L-rd, continue to strengthen us in our marriages, especially when we are being attacked. Protect us from the evil one and confuse his plans to destroy our marriages. Keep us continually focused on you so that we do not slip and give in to the difficulties we face. Soften our husbands' hearts so that they may hear your voice. Place your servants with our husbands, in their workplaces, whilst they are out, so that they may see your light shining in others.

My L-rd I especially thank You for these coming days and for hearing my prayers yesterday - thank You for reminding me again that You have not forsaken me - thank You for intervening when You did.

My L-rd my continual praise is for You and You alone! In Y-shua's precious and Holy Name. Amen.

Our Heavenly Father,

Thank you so much for this day Lord. We come together and stand in agreement that we love You Lord, and are faithful servants of You. We praise Your name always, for You are always in our hearts. With the the Christmas holiday upon us, while others are buying gifts, we are thanking You for the most precious gift that we have received in our hearts, the gift of your Son Jesus. His life was the ultimate sacrifice. May we remain humble and forever appreciate and love You and Your Son Jesus. May we walk in love always. We ask you to soften our husband's hearts to You and for them to see the light of You shining through us. We want to praise you outloud. We want to glorify you. Because Lord, You are the number one in our lives. You are the path we walk on, the spark in our eyes, and the love in our hearts. I pray this in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen!!

Welcome to this Forum. Glad you found some strength and comfort in these prayers.

I need to pray for myself right now, and I'm hoping some others will benefit from this...

My gracious Heavenly Father, I sing praises to your Holy name. You are so merciful and long-suffering with me. Although my husband does not know you yet, you are using him to mold me into a better Chrsitian. Thank you for humbling me and not giving up on me. I want to be a good witness for you so badly, but it seems like all I do is fail. Lord, I need you to take up residence in my heart, mind, will and emotions. I surrender myself to you completely. Help me to bring you glory and honor in all I do. I'm weak, but you are strong. Lord, help me, I pray. In Jesus name. Amen.

I had a great day today. I prayed for God to keep me calm at work and He did! Oh how I praise Him . I was dreading going back to work today and it couldn't have been better.

It's great that you were blessed with such a good day! Ahh, the power of prayer Was this your first time back at work after the Christmas break? I pray that today is even better than yesterday for you!

Yesterday was a lovely day for me too. I'm trying to make the most of my days with the little one because I may have to return back to work later on this year. I have mixed feelings because I can't wait to work again but also it will be the first time that my baby won't see me for more than just a couple of hours. But we shall see...
