Prayers For Non-believers

It should be the desire of all Christians to pray for lost souls, that they will be awakened to their need and come to the Savior; and if we who know the Lord learn of one who wants help we should certainly pray for their salvation and blessing.

Having said that, which the Lord enjoins us, we should faithfully say that each soul MUST come to the Savior on their own and receive Him into their heart, and pray to Him. See what happens to a religious person who will not come to God for himself --Acts 8:21-24. Religion will not save a soul, but only a personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Don't pray for me. Don't pray for my lost soul. Don't ask someone else to help me.

If you wanted to help me, you could get off your butt and actually help.

Having said that, I don't actually need help. I have no soul that is lost, no heartache to be stowed, no confine from which to escape. There is no reason to pray for me.

Please pray for me, anyone who is out there. I am in DIRE need of Salvation, and I have not the strength to come to it. I willfully turned away 10 years ago from God, and I am reaping DISASTEROUS internal, spiritual, and emotional consequences. I fear I may die of sorrow or take my own life. Everyone here seems so supportive, and I am drawn to that. My request is that you ask, that if God is willing, he soften my hardened heart and restore the soul I once had. I am literally in hell inside. It's awful. I miss the piety I once had, or thought I had.

I've just now been coming to the realization that I've grieved God, and that it bothers me that I have...When I cry about it, it feels good and bad at the same time, kind of like I've found a bit of myself and at the same time I'm rediscovering Him...reading C.S. Lewis' "The Problem of Pain" and it's really convicting and terrifying at the same time...I know now He's giving me this desire to seek Him. It's really pressing on me that everything in Christianity is true. I've been dying to believe it inside the past couple years.

It is sad that one doesn't want the salvation of God and assurance of eternal blessing, but those of us here on this Christian site need to keep praying for lost souls, and speaking the Gospel message in the Bible ---especially urging ones to read John 1; John 3; and John 14 to see what God shows us about salvation. Satan will always oppose the testimony of God, so we need to oppose those lies by earnest prayer and the truth of the Word.

Dear Wanderer, we will be praying for you, and remember what was said earlier here --that one needs a personal relationship with God (which no one can do for another). Read those chapters in the Book of John (John 1, John 3, John 14), and ask God to teach you to embrace His beloved Son.
